Many parents and children gathered in Shihezi (a city in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region) Gymnasium on February 15, to participate in the Family Sports Meet. The Women's Federation of the Shihezi Eighth Agricultural Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, the United Front Work Department of CPC (Communist Party of China) Shihezi Municipal Committee, the Politics and Law Committee, under Shihezi Municipal Party Committee, Shihezi's justice and education bureaus, and other organizations, held the event from February 10-15.
During the event, the women's team dedicated to helping residents better understand laws and regulations, under Shihezi's Justice Bureau, held a competition among parents and children to test their knowledge on laws and legal regulations. The activity was well received.
The team, composed of severaly young policewomen (in Shihezi), during the past year has conducted various activities, including explaining laws and regulations to residents, to help them improve their ability to protect their legal rights and interests.
